InnSure partners with Vitech to launch not-for-profit
InnSure Corporation (previously Innovation Underwriters (IU) , a new not-for-profit with a mission to foster new ventures in the insurance industry, announced today they would partner with insurance software provider Vitech to officially launch the insurance collaborative.
“As a leader in policy administration for life, health and benefits, Vitech’s ability to contribute money, ideas and talent will accelerate industry progress in many ways. We look forward to turning their support into concrete programs that inspire new ideas, new leaders and new ventures,” said Charlie Sidoti, Executive Director of Innovation Underwriters.
Innovation Underwriters is an industry funded nonprofit focused on fostering innovation in risk management and insurance. IU is supported by Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), a global leader in building and operating innovation communities, having served over 5000 startup and technology companies and with over $7B of venture capital headquartered within its buildings.
The collaborative will officially launch in January 2020 following a ribbon cutting at IU’s new home at the flagship CIC location in Kendall Square at the edge of the MIT campus. IU’s network includes insurtech specialists, startups, corporations, governments and other insurance stakeholders that come together to accelerate insurance and risk management innovation. Along with its partners, Insurance Underwriters facilitates spaces and events that naturally create the exchange of information and spark greater collaboration.
Innovation Underwriters spurs innovation and collaboration through Coworking - providing a home at CIC hubs across the globe for innovators to work from with easy access to resources. Its Networking events affords members access to entrepreneurs, service providers, investors and mentors from across the start-up community, and IU’s highly impactful programming allows companies to speed up their rate of innovation.
IU will host InsurTechWeek:NYC (November 18-22, 2019), a week-long gathering of the NYC and tri-state area insurance innovation community. The event is free and open to the public with events, panels and talks on topics ranging from data science to innovation culture taking place at various host locations throughout Manhattan.
